My story

I started this blog because I am passionate about law, politics, and policy and how it affects our lives. I love researching all those topics and talking about how to apply the things I read and learn to make a more progressive society. Born and raised in Southern California, I’m working to change the fact that many minorities have been targeted with false information. This makes it confusing to understand how politics, policy and the law impact our community. I feel a personal responsibility to use my voice to spread the truth by sharing fact-based analysis of my research.

One of my goals is to help find solutions that lift up communities and people that have faced oppression for years. Now more than ever there is a lot of misinformation, and I hope to make it easy to understand how these subjects impact our everyday lives for readers like you. Although I know everyone may not agree with my thoughts and values, I strive to balance the rights of individuals and ensure we prioritize building equity for those who have been held down by systemic oppression. I believe that we all are not free unless everyone is truly free.

“Once social change begins, it cannot be reversed. You cannot uneducate the person who has learned to read. You cannot humiliate the person who feels pride. You cannot oppress the people who are not afraid anymore.’” —Cesar Chavez
